Riding in the rain

I assume that batteries are somewhat weather resistant but how many of you ride in all weather? Do you cover your battery in any way? I'm assuming water near the terminals can't be a good thing.

When I had a downtube bottle battery and the weather was bad I covered it with a shower cap, held on with an eleastic velcro strap from Aldi.
