Anybody got a Ribble bike? Their showroom in Clitheroe looks pretty cool. They've got the weight down on their e bikes.

It does for a small battery and a light rider and they just feel a bit nippier in handling terms.Does having a lightweight ebike make much difference?
My bike is loaded with panniers full of various things and weighs a lot. It has a large comfortable saddle, mudguards, lights telescopic forks etc.
Still goes up hill very well with a minimum of assistance only required for the steepest parts(I have a throttle)
Totally agree with above my Specialized Creo gravel bike is under 14kg with a 320wh battery and is like a whippet compared to my wifes Haibike. It does for a small battery and a light rider and they just feel a bit nippier in handling terms.
I think so yeah. I try to ride as much as possible without assistance, so the lighter the better. I suppose it depends on your particular needs. Also for getting on and off the carrier on the car, even though I take the battery out, I can still struggle on my own.Does having a lightweight ebike make much difference?

Ribble Hybrid AL e Step ThroughModel name ?
Depends on how it rides unassisted and how athletic the rider is, the 250wh battery battery for a good fit rider should be capable of 30 miles. With 2S 10P of GA cells one would suspect about 12a max from the controller other wise they won't last too long if asked to draw high current.
The lighter weight will provide good handling and feel but that weight will go up 2 or 3kg if you have to add any accessories.
My Gravel bike is about 10.5kg and about 15.5kg on a ride with e-kit 2 x 208wh batteries & accessories, range is approx. 50 miles.
If you like to ride with no assistance for a significant proportion of your ride, then absolutely yes!Does having a lightweight ebike make much difference?

Thanks. If you like to ride with no assistance for a significant proportion of your ride, then absolutely yes!
If you want a bike that feels 'normal' then yes again.
The Ribble is roughly the equivalent of my Orbea Gain, with both having an ebikemotion system, and about the same weight.
The spec is higher than mine (i.e. fully loaded), so I'd say it's a decent bike at £2,399 if the above two points mean a lot to you.
