Thanks for the info, will look into itYou could use 10S lipos (pair of 5S), but you need a lipo charger and a pair of lipo alarms. plus the knowledge of how to use them properly.
to use them, you'd need to vut the main battery wires and put a pair of connectors on. then, when you want to use your reserve battery, you can unplug your normal battery and plug in your reserve, which would have the same connector as the main battery.

Thanks for the offer, I am going to look at all possibility's first but I will bear it in mindIf you want to do LiPo I have a spare 80 W charger for sale for 15 € (27 € new) + postage. You will need an 80-100 W power supply, the same as the ones used with laptop computers. I will add an XT60 to solder on to your power supply lead.
Looks like this one https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-neutron-200w-dc-touch-screen-balance-charger-lihv-capable.html
As new with all cables, box and instructions. 80 W will charge a 6.6 Ah pack at 1C in an hour and it is compatible with the new LihV batteries.
Great idea thanks, Looking to source a small Li-ion battery from China now!10JP said,

A neat little aluminium rack connected to the seat post upright can take up to 10kg so that could act as a modest, lightweight, platform to temporarily locate a spare battery pack ... or anything else.
Every machine I ever aquire gets one by default.

You don't need China to get a battery made, if you don't fancy the rc-lipo route then give Jimmy a call at Insat, he gets highly regarded on this forum.Great idea thanks, Looking to source a small Li-ion battery from China now!
