Given how long it took me (yes, I'm the designated driver) to drive to Great Yarmouth last year, I'm not in any hurry to repeat it unless I happen to be heading in that direction anyway for another event. It takes longer to get to Great Yarmouth than it does Colchester.

Besides, the first Saturday of the month is a regular event for us and the bloke will object if we miss it as we no longer do the other local-ish meet.

my wife recently hired the batribike diamond ls and we were both impressed.
she went on to purchase a different model that she liked slightly better but would have bought the ls if that was the only one available.
it would seem that this bike ticks all the boxes for you
ie step through frame 3 speed hub gears and rack mounted battery.
it would be good to hear what you think of this model after you have tried it.
