Replacement battery charger for Vicking Harrier ebike

Featured Replies

Hi I am desperate to buy a battery charger for Vicking Harrier e bike. I have looked everywhere. Maybe somebody can give me an advice how to get a replacement. Thank you Jay
Any 2a charger of the correct voltage will work, show us a pic of the charger connector that plugs in to the battery and the voltage 24 or 36v ?

I bought the SANS Charger 29.4V2A with DC2.1 Plug(Model-SSLC058V29 )for 24V E-bike Battery off ebay (cost £24). But the connector in the charger has slightly smaller diameter so it doesn't fit. On the first photo is my connector, on the second photo is the charger I bought from ebay, which connector doesn't fit.

I need the new charger because the old one broke. I spend a fortune on Uber. I would be grateful for any advise which charger to buy, because as I said I bought one 24V and the connector has a little smaller diameter in its inner hole and it doesn't fit. Thank you
If you are sure the new one is the same electrically as the old, or at least OK as far as the battery is concerned, you can cut the ends off the cables of the old and new chargers and solder the old connector onto the new charger.

Thank you very much for all the advices. They are very helpful I will look for the adaptor but I still hope somebody knows a battery charger which fit. When trying to buy a new battery charger should I only look for specification: 24V 2A or should I look for something else?

I attach the photo of my old battery charger. It is not an original. I bought it from a shop where I bought my bike, but the shop is now closed. Thank you

If you use your new charger, whether you use an adaptor or cut and solder, be very careful about polarity.

Check the polarity of the charger and battery with a meter before connecting them.

It is strange because I got from ebay exactly the same model of the SANS charger (Model-SSLC058V29) as I have but the connector hole is slightly different size. How is it possible?

My old charger and my new charger. The same model. They have the same specifications but the hole in the second in connector is smaller

J, battery chargers are made with a many different charge connectors. Manufacturers typically can't all agree on unified connector, so Sans and many other make the same model chargers with different connectors.

Your new charger will have 5.5mm x 2.1mm dc connector and I suspect your old bent looking one is 5.5mm x 2.5mm dc connector.

A pic of the battery charge point will tell us.

As Ford has said you will need a 5.5mm x 2.1/2.5mm adapter.
