Me again

I have been told by GBK The rear motor I am receiving is normal one

I want to replace it with waterproof so I can remove the rear wheel easily

Do you know how to replace it? Do I need to open the motor casing up and solder the wire?

Thanks
Pat

Impossible to help without details.
Which motor did you order?
Did you order it as a or single motorWhat exactly did they say to you because normal means a waterproof connector about a foot from the motor?

The GBK motor I ordered from them can with a nomal round 9 pin waterproof connector on it (and another 2m of cable to connect to the controller).

Hi Dave.
This is what Anna said from GBK and the motor is SWXH
"The motor is with normal connector, if you need waterproof connector, you can buy one of our 9pin waterproof cable for the motor."

I asked the same question here and she replied
"Sorry that we cannot open the motor and change the wire for you. What I mean is that you can connect the 9pin waterproof cable to the existing motor cable."

So normal connector=waterproof connector?
I still dont get it...

thanks

The separate waterproof cable and connector, would be difficult to fit to the motor and not worth the effort. You'll have to wait and see what you get before deciding what to do. If it's a non-waterproof connector, you can simply wrap it in tape. If it has no connector (most likely) and connects at the controller, it's still no problem. I've had several like this and you can still remove the wheel to change tyres/tubes, etc with the cable connected.
