Hi, to cut a very long story short, I have lost my lcd display. I bought a yose power 36v 250 20 inch front wheel kit about a year ago and need a replacement display. I don't know the exact details of it but guess it must have been appropriate for the above specs. How standard are they, can I get any old lcd to replace it, as long as it fits the green female 5 pin julet, or is it more complex than that. are all 5 pin green julet plugs wired a standard way - and always for lcd displays. Any help and clarification would be very appreciated. Many thanks. PJH.

Does it use the KT controller or Lishui brand ?

Thanks so much for your help, here is a picture of the controller showing the label. I've attached the jpg file. I hope that's the right way to do it. Thanks again. I'm guessing that it is Lishui brand.

If I might ask another question. With the the differing displays - is it a question of wiring in the right order for the controller or profounder differences. Even better, if someone could point me to some detailed info about all this. Thanks again. JH.

Displays are matched to controllers by way of commands & programming each brand software developer uses different commands etc.

They are semi - closed in that you can't freely use one brand with another, some of the info might work but a lot won't. They each use slightly different settings/ programming that won't be recognised.

Usually it is best to buy a controller and display as a pair if not sure.
KT controllers will only work with KT displays there are at least 10 display options now.

Some China brands like Intelligent might make lcds for Bafang and Lishui but aren't compatible with each other as programming etc is different as is the connector and wire pin out.

The good thing about branded generic type paired controllers/displays is that any brand of generic hub motor and battery can be used to make up a bike.

Not something anyone can do with the likes of Bosh, Yamaha, Shimano or even possibly the new Bafangs.

Ah Thanks, and presumably brakes and pedal sensor and throttle are pretty general too - providing the plugs fit, but maybe the plugs can be changed as long as the wiring matches up?

Hi there. Thanks for all the help. As I'm sure you all figured I'm very new to all this. Anyway, the new LCD display arrived, and it all seems to work OK. I've not been on the road yet though. But what is troubling me is that according to the manual I should have an option to set the voltage - which is 36v - the motor and controller. As I said it all seems to work - in the shed at least - so I assume that the desplay and/or the controller automatically can find the correct voltage setting. The reason I was particularly confused by this is that in the manual it seems to show how to set the voltage. The fourth option of five, but actually there are only four option, the voltage one missing. Any thought would be helpful. Thanks.
