Hello,

My Leafbike motor 1000W had an issue where it stopped working when I started it.

I've checked online tutorial to diagnose motor:
https://zenid10.wordpress.com/category/4-how-to-guide/4-9-hub-motor-diagnosis-and-repair/

- Connecting phase wire together created resistance on motor. So no problem with phase.
- Then I turned the motor while checking voltage on hall sensor... The yellow hall sensor was stuck to 3V and didn't change.

I think I'd need to change hall sensor. There are some instruction here:
http://www.ebikes.ca/documents/HubMotorHallSensorReplacement.pdf

Question:
- Where can I buy the right hall sensor?
- What type of epoxy should I get to glue the hall sensor?
- Anything else I need to do?

Thanks

Hello,

I opened my leafbike motor 1000w to change the hall sensor because they failed, and then closed back the motor.

For some reason, I now have some bearings noise when the motor turn. It's very light and motor spin decently, but I'd like the motor to go back to its initial state without any noise.

Any idea what I could have missed out when putting it back? I made sure the 2 bearings were present but maybe there is something to do to make sure the motor spin without any issue?

You can hear the noise here:
Thanks

you could try to grease the bearings but replace them with new ones is the surest way to eliminate the noise.

I don't know because it didn't have this noisy before I open the motor.... now that I opened and closed it, it does....

Would adding grease still make sense?

the balls inside the bearings always suffer from a bit of wear. When you re-assembled the motor, the outer ring of bearings may have moved a little, the balls inside don't run as smoothly as before.

You are checking the wrong way. Hold the axle steady and spin the wheel. The noise sounds like the cable rubbing inside the axle as you turn it.

It's definitely not the cable because I have exactly the same noise on my other leafbike motor installed on my bike.

When I move my bike slowly it makes this noise.

As kuorider says it doesn't sound like a bearing noise but more like something is rubbing. Are the bearings seated properly and no spacers missed, perhaps overtighten something. I guess if you dismantle it again you may see rub marks. And be careful turning like you are doing you are twisting your cable.
