What do you carry in yours? I have a pump, patches, a tube, adjustable wrench, multi tool, electricians tape, cable ties, side cutters. Was thinking of adding some lengths of wire and a few crimps for emergencies as been stuck without power a couple of times

I tried slime but it didn't work (got a flat almost straight away!).
Found a double ended tube and I'm now carrying that so I don't have to worry about taking the motor wheel off when I'm out.
Allen keys
Small screwdriver (for adjusting gears)
cable ties
Pump and repair kit
8 and 10mm spanners

Slime is great when it does work, horrid when it doesn't. I saw those tubes keep meaning to get one. I wonder how feasible it would be to make your own, cutting and tying a slightly too large one or maybe sealing the ends with strong rubber cement

I too hate slime. I got some of those double-ended tubes. They are VERY chunky; if ordering I suggest you err on the side of too narrow rather than too fat.

I take a multi tool, tyre leavers, pump and spare tube. I also take money, debit card and mobile phone. Does anyone know if any of the car break down companies such as the AA or RAC run some kind of get you and your bike home in the event of a breakdown?

So for example if your a member of the AA you could pay an extra £15 per year and that would cover you for say two or three take home you and your bike trips in a year, provided you were within say 50 miles of your home.

I think some bike insurers offer a rescue service
