Hi Pedelecers, does anyone have any experience or suggestions to control & display
for front hub 240W 29Nm 36V

What I'm looking for primarily is something that is reliable and mainstream.

Why am I after this?

I've got a Gazelle Innergy from 2009, but I'm going to replace all the control stuff but keep the motor.
As described at:

Grateful for any advice.

Cheers Neal,
I'm going to have a poke around with my current setup to make sure I've got the right number of wires going to the motor etc.
Its a shame there is such a long lead time getting this stuff in from China.
But thank you, I'm looking forward to reporting back on the success of this project.

The delivery dates are a guideline usually most stuff arrives within 14 days. My last item I ordered arrived Friday last, seven days from placing the order.

From the controller link you gave it shows the motor has 9 pins outs so a sinewave/sensored hub. But always worth checking motor to confirm first.

You can probably buy other controllers 24v, though KT ones are the most user friendly after market ones available.
So you don't buy a lemon check back here to confirm an item/s are correct for your needs.

Cheers Neal,
I'm going to go out now and have a good look at my Gazelle Innergy and have a deeper poke at it.
If the misses does not find me something more useful to do.
Back later.

Here in the USA, I find it's a little less money ordering from the pswpower.com site and I get to use paypal, which I prefer to putting a credit into aliexpress. I ordered a LCD3 7 days ago. It is suppossed to be in transit, but the chinese tracking numbers don't tell us much, other than it's "in transit".

I like the KT brand. I have a few, but did have one controller not work right, but I waited 4 months to use it, so I never bothered to test their customer service.

You might consider a 36/48V unit . Might have better safety margins for the components.

Cheers Harry for your input,

I still have not got around to ordering my kit. I've had a few distractions over the last few days.
On closer inspection I'm concerned now about the front wheel motor hub.
When I spin the wheel backwards it makes a noise.
I don't know if that's OK or there is is a problem in that bit now.
I would have thought that if it was a bearing it would have made a noise in both directions.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
I think I'll put that question on another thread.

When I spin the wheel backwards it makes a noise.
that's normal you hear the noise and feel the resistance.
Spinning backward engages the clutch and forces the rotor to turn.

Cheers Woosh,

You have cheered me up no end, thanks.
At least I don't think I have to worry about that bit now.

I see you have a picture on your website home page of something very similar to my Gazelle Innergy?

I fixed Emily Joy's Gazelle Innergy sometime ago, it was a one off job.
I added a Lishui controller and a LED panel to run the motor.
The main difficulty was to preserve the existing wiring.
If I had to do this again, I would use the torque sensor controller.
