Recommend me a ebike MTB shop (Hiabike, Cube, KTM...ect)

Personaly I prefer panasonic hub drive bigger battery than Bosch plus 30 gears more than either of the bikes above. However travel is only 130 so not excatly what you want. Having ridden most bikes at Eurobike I think it is still my favourite system. Also if you want more power the Yamaha is also a good one. These power figures mean nothing in comparison as you do not know if they have taken the figures using the same method. Therefore without independant verification they are very difficult to compare. The torque is similar for all three.

As this thread has gone beyond a few links I'll just give you a little back ground

I'm after an electric bike for my farther who is 65 and not in the best of health, and has just recently had a a bit of a scare with his heart, he is a proficient off road motorcycle rider (MX and more recently Trials) hence im looking for something with some travel.

I'm also after an Ebike for myself, just for the hell of it but I'd like something with travel also as I have plenty of other bikes (XC,CX, road) and to me electric just makes sense on a longer travel fun bike, (it will be interesting to see if I'm any quicker on long techy uphill sections compared to my 29er XC)

what travel is the Thron ? I Can't see it on the focus website (probably being blind)

They don't list it, which is strange for such a vital piece of info :/
Its a 32 and looks about 120mm from the picture.

Yep agreed 150mm sounds good. The sDuro AllMtn PRO is not one we are bringing over. But we are bringing in the sDuro AllMtn RX with the EI suspension & partial XT.

Might be worth considering the xDuro AllMtn RX which has the Bosch (Nyon) & full XT - xDuro ALLMtn RX

Both 150mm as suggested. The later on Fox.

Thanks Martin, the Xduro is certainly an option and the fox would be ok, not sure on the overvolt I want to like it but it just looks a bit strange (can put my finger on it) may be better in the flesh

I'm easy on Bosch of Yamaha, from what Ive read they seem in the same ball park, but personally I think the Yamaha motor looks nicer but the Bosch has a better display

I just had a look at Accel other manufatures to see what they had, not much in FS MTB's terms, I was hoping Ghost had something as they do some smart regular FS bikes, but thier Ebike is a half harted effort....

Hi,

It is a possibility, but we tend to carefully select the best models anyway. The Lappy looks nicer in the flesh, will have 15 stock end of this week.

Not many eBike manufacturers get involved with 120mm+ As they only hit the mass market. The guys that want the proper 150mm should look at the AllMtn range as this is what it is carefully designed for.

BTW I can spec up a bike with Pike's if you prefer, although this will be at cost. Much better to wear out the factory forks then upgrade should you see fit. Up to you. As long as we keep with the same travel it won't alter the geometry.

It depends if you have a budget or just looking for something that ticks the bill.
I have many in stock so much better idea to try and get down, I know you are not so close, but may be better to talk through in person (with a fellow MTB'r).

Might even let you have a spin on my PRO, if you're lucky
