Quick question about batteries..

Looking at a Bosch CX powered bike .

Salesperson told me that because it produces a lot more torque than my bosch classic it needs less assistance for any given situation so will go further on the same size battery.

Is this true?

The way it was described was quite plausible...
It provides more outout (torque ) for the same input ..

I was being cheeky. They changed the internal gear ratio IIRC. That would privilege torque over speed.

I have the bosch cx motor and previously owned a bike with the bosch performance line,the sales blurb is correct because the cx`s increase in torque and speed can be felt,also the motor accelerates better and initial push off from a stop is improved so yes you can use a level lower to save the battery,i was a bit sceptical but it is improved,dongles fitted to both motors.
I always use the sport setting never the turbo and can do 30 miles with 2 bars left on the console battery indicator,i am 10.5 stone though and the bike is carbon.500wh battery.

It's been 2 weeks now without mine and TBH I am a bit miffed especially as number 3 offspring has bought an MTB and telling me of new off road trails he has found... Mmmmmmm (thinking) decision made...

No its a 10 and they told me the front wears out but only costs about a tenner
