Apologies if this has been mentioned in another thread before. Hee hee, I probably started it
I am collecting my self build bike bits together, and the bike I finally buy will fit around these parts. Makes more sense than it sounds
As I am going to be using a half twist throttle with Quick Fire shifters and electric brake cut-offs, this leads to one problem.
I originally decided that I needed a bike with separate brake levers from the shifters. The same as the set-up on the Cyclamatic.
Unfortunately, the bike which was perfect for the job, an older model Specialized Hardrock, is now discontinued
All the latest bikes seem to have ditched this two part brake/gear change set-up, for the integrated system.
Has anyone seen anything recently that might do the job, without resorting to taping reed switches and magnets on the levers?
I've seen the DaaCube solution on Wisper's website, which looks ideal, but not sure if they are selling them yet, or indeed, separately from their kit.
Please don't suggest any cowboy bodgit solutions, as this is not the way I want to go
