God Keith you're really gonna have to eat more fish...:D :p

When i working all night, i end up sleeping though the day.
Its as simple as that. When its my days off then I dont go to work at night.

Even though im no bike expert I would say there is very little drag from the bike all in all.

Im as sharp as I knife and I only slept 4 hours today.... LOL

The extra drag on Panasonic unit bikes transmission and motor is only that of the output shaft and idler arm, barely more than the rear mechanism on a derailleur of an ordinary bike. To all intents it's like riding an ordinary bike when the power is off, especially after it's done a couple of hundred miles to run it in.

I covered this in full in my Kalkhoff review, here's the excerpt:

Early in the day I'd ridden the Kent Gate Way cyclepath again, with still air through being well protected from the wind that was experienced high on the Downs later, some of this a minutely negative incline of between 0.9 and 1.2%, and found the bike rolling so freely that I stopped pedalling, the bike then rolling along at 17 mph for well over half a mile before the incline was lost. That's the best free rolling I've ever known over the years round here. The Continental tyres must take much of the credit and definitely have lower roll resistance than the Marathon Plus I usually use, but nonetheless, for any e-bike to roll in this manner and be better than good normal bikes is remarkable. I'm going to be interested in seeing if A to B did a roll test in their forthcoming report.

A to B's test also confirmed the free rolling.

thanks Tony, i guess if one was to read every posting and review half the questions would not be asked, but unless im different to eveyone, i tend to read reviews if they are of interest to me for information at the time, if not they are always there to sift back through....or i can ask the question on a forum knowing someone will find the link to the particular answer in question.... i would say fingers crossed for 6 lucky numbers tonight, but it would take more then luck as i have not bought a ticket today....another day then..
thanks

Bad day not to buy the ticket Keith, I believe it's a rollover.

I also can't be bothered buying them, I just have it organised online, far easier with no hassle:

The National Lottery

If I win it this week I'll buy you the e-bike of your choice so you don't miss out. :)

God Keith you're really gonna have to eat more fish...:D :p

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

ere Burnsy i have just googled what "have to eat more fish" means....and it says the following...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

quote
"For years, people, especially pregnant women, have been conditioned to be careful about how much fish they eat.

But now, the state health department is telling Minnesotans that they need to eat more fish."-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

well please take a look at the Google map which shows where we are all from, im from HULL.....which is NOT the next village to Minnesota...i am also NOT pregnant, however my girlfriend has said if she ever gets me pregnant she will do the right thing and marry me......devious little witch as she knows i would then be a millionaire...
thank you in anticiaption of an apology or a generous donation of a "bike of your choice, if i win the lottery tonight" that Tony has so kindly made..
good evening.

You ought to keep quiet about that after what Kelvin MacKenzie said about Hull:

"even as he was touring the television studios saying that it was "90 per cent certain" that he would enter his name for the by-election, he added another gaffe that will not endear to the electorate of Haltemprice and Howden, which is the Yorkshire East Riding, adjoining Hull. Off camera, he said to a BBC producer: "Have you ever been to Hull? It's a shocker, an absolute shocker." The comment was caught on tape."

The GLC voting area is huge, and it was largely the Conservative fringe boroughs who voted him in. In truth they were actually voting against Ken Livingstone rather than for Boris or anyone else, in most cases just the usual phobic hatred of what some perceive as the extreme left wing.

i have to admitt although i dont/wont follow the polatic circus im fully a believer of the crap like that ,that happens,by the time boris the clown price adulterer has embarressed and made his party a laughing stock they might at least think ken had his good points, i cant imagine boris handling a heckler in the crowd or not goofing it in a street television interview where there are no re takes, i used to watch "have i got news for you" when he was on for the same cringe factor i got watching faulty towers.........anyway befor being acused of nothing to do with bikes....................................................................................................i think its very good politicians like boris ride a bike and come down to the publics dilema, maybe he will do something about drain covers being sunk too low, very dangerous near to the kerb roadside where we have to bike where they dont bother to re tarmac right up to and more cycle tracks....horaay for boris...

Is the Boris debate going the same way as the helmet debate - he seems to be making an appearance in every thread much as helmets did a while ago.

Flecc you are right, the outer 'burbs did want to get rid of Ken as they thought he was an inner London Mayor, not a Mayor for all of London. The only pleasure voters have is in getting rid of an incumbent who they feel has let them down. Of course the pleasure is short lived as one realises that the next lot is as bad as the last lot, but maybe in a different way. I am pretty sure Boris won't disappoint.

EUPHORIA - I have just received a phone call from Tim at 50 Cycles to say that my 57cm Pro Connect has arrived and will be despatched today. After all these months of discussing them in theory, I will actually get to ride one.
