and they will clean those fkn solar panels if it kills me and got a 3rd party solar installer coming out to look at my fooked up install because i have the 10 year warranty and full control of the inverter but it was made to go outside on a wall not in a loft fkn thing starts derating over 45c its like doing a stress test on a mac book pro in a 80c oven and trying to pump 3kw through it if it dont thermal throttle it will catch my fkn roof on fire
Remove the door from a fridge, shove the fridge against the wall so that the inverter is inside. Remove the rubber seal from the fridge door, place it between the fridge and the wall. Make brackets to squeeze the fridge against the rubber fridge's seal. Cool the back of the fridge using an inline extractor fan pumping hot air through the fridge heatsink via long extractor ducting, through holes cut into two sides of half a large suitcase covering the fridge sheatsink, pumping the hot air out through a window? Might use less electricity than your solar panels are producing. FIFY. You're welcome.

Maybe one of the local window cleaning dudes can clean your panels if you throw enough gold bars at them? Last week my window cleaner used a long pipe with a brush on the end, and what he said was "expensive pure water" pumped up through it to clean my upper floor windows. The "expensive pure water" left no streaks. No windscreen wiper was used. I can see Amazon delivery dudes now, before my neighbours try to intercept them pretending to be me, orange masked and everything like my profile photograph.

i can get one but cheapest i got was 150 quid because of insurance ect was a fkn mission just to get a window cleaner round here atm or a plumber as all booked up.

and tbh i have never seen anyone clean solar panels and mine are near ten years old they degrade over time say 0.5% per year but i cant get much more than 2.3kw max generation from 10 panels 3kw total.

He only charged me a fiver! For all upper floor windows. Shop around? Those dudes should be in the "expensive pure water window cleaning" section of your Yellow Pages. I reckon he was simply afraid of heights. I think the sight of my dirty windows really annoyed him, and he has a OCD thing about dirt. Hence only a fiver.

Modern solar panels are self-cleaning. Don't ask me how. Mine haven't been cleaned in 15 months. A flock of pigeons hang out on my roof too.

it says in the manual for the inverter panels must be cleaned every 6 months and fixing checked every year as i have 200kg of them on my roof and not cleaned for 10 years.

i can only get 2200w out of 3kw

That's the same as your bike manual tells you to check the brakes and tyres once a week and take your bike back to the dealer for service every 187.5 miles. When was the last time you did any of those things?

I just looked at a Cube MTB manual: There are 14 pages of checks to do before every trip!
The Haibike manual lists 7 specific checks you must do before every ride. One of them is the brake pad thickness, which means that you should take both calipers off to check them each time you go to the pub or work.

some ppl have never had any of it looked at since it was installed in 2015 serviced or anything.

i had to register the warranty for my new inverter and set it all up with the app ect.

sent foi about it and they not got a clue about any off it and no data either.

did the same thing with my bike just do it my self :p

Aside from cleaning your solar panels once a year, there isn’t much more you need to do. Solar panels don’t contain any moving parts and won’t rust or break down, so require little in the way of maintenance.

if considering solar who is good to talk to/buy from? Ive had a few cold calls on the landline that did not inspire much confidence and dont know anyone local who has taken the plunge, except for the one unfriendly neighbor.. (took a parcel misdeleverd to me round b4 christmas and got shouted at "Why u sending my wife pictures of your front door??" When it was obviously the delivery driver who mis-delivered!! ho humm tldr not asking him..)

it is pretty simple as the inverter i have only has 3 wires connected to it 2 string connectors to the panels + -

and then the power cable going to the consumer unit for the feed in tariff but my bean counter does not talk to the inverter.

the inverter has no way to talk to the grid or what is being exported why i use my own.

i also rang edf as my pre pay gas meter is not reading the card and want a new gas meter and was told i have to have gas and electric meters fitted at the same time because they need to talk to each other.

so said under the data protection act i can tell you to make them dumb meters under uk law and they said yes that is correct.

so said in that case the above means nothing because it will all be turned off can i have just a dumb gas meter.

nope!

then said for 300 quid i can have the smart meter removed what do you want me to do with it.

end of phone call ;)

o and it getrs even better the council spent nearly a year fixing up a house over the road and guess what did not bother to change the inverter.

it only blew up the hole electric system and fried the inverter and mains input box and now have a smart meter.

guy that bought his house same thing inverter blew the crap out of the mains input box and all 4 houses had to have the main fuses removed for it to get changed to a smart meter.

and another guy round the corner last week pumped in 73 quid a week he has a smart meter but his sockets and light bulbs keep blowing.

wonder why.

so now found 3 of the 4 inverters that the council have had to replace and 16 bombs left to go

rather than spend £6400 on new inverters they are more than happy to risk burning there houses to the ground.
