Preview of the Woosh Santana CD 2018

Currently at sea, the Woosh Santana CD is the first of the Woosh 2018 bikes.

So what's new compared to the 2016 Santana CD?

- front and rear hydraulic brakes
- Shimano Deore 9-speed gearset
- Automatic gear sensor
- Suntour NEX suspension fork
- Thumb throttle instead of twist grip
- New larger King Meter LCD
- Quick release front and rear wheels

The motor and controller remain the same.

sorry about that, Hatti used to name the Woosh bikes after winds, Sirocco, Aspen, Sant-Ana, Gale etc. Over time, everyone shortened the Sant-Ana to Santana.
I have now changed it to santana on the web page.

that would be a mouthful to spell over the phone, that may be why people shortened it to Santana.
Anyway, the Santana CD 2018 costs £1,099 and comes with 15AH battery as standard. The cells are Samsung 29E.

What does the automatic gear sensor do?

It cuts the motor while you change gear, which makes the gear-shifting more pleasant. Without one on a crank-drive bike, thet shift with a bit of a bang because of the high tension in the chain.

Excellent value considering it has decent gears, forks and brakes. Most ebikes at this price have cheap forks and lower spec gears.
