Show us a pic of the bike, if it uses the bottle style looking battery then you need to get one from maybe ebikes direct or Powabyke themselves or another vendor of the bike. Other wise you can use any 36v battery of any Ah/wh capacity you like, some minor soldering with the wire connectors is likely needed. The battery carrier /bracket may need an extra rivnut fitted to the frame or opt for rear carrier mounted type.

Hi - I have charged the battery which went green but still doesnt work - no lights or anything - it was working before - it belonged to my mum but not sure if there were any problems before it was stored. Just no power

Issue will be likely be battery related, do you have a volt/test meter ?
The first step would be to measure the battery voltage at the output/discharge contacts an easy 10 second job.

After two years of no use one of the battery cell groups may have self drained if you are confident and capable of following instructions, we can help you to try and diagnose where the issue may lie but would also mean opening the battery to carry out some voltage tests. As always pics along the way help us along the way so we can see what we are looking at.

The battery itself is bike specific/bespoke design if it is faulty and unrepairable then you;
1. Buy a direct replacement.
2. Have it recelled with better cells (often a cheaper option), using Jimmy's service at ebikebatteries.co.uk.
3. Fit any other after market 36v lion battery.

The battery innards look quite accessible and in pic 1 of the bike, the battery end plate is simply screwed on so access to remove the cell pack for testing looks very possible.

Powabyke sell a replacement battery pack for your case, but at £340, it's a ripoff. You can get a cheap replacement battery for around £150, but you would need to do some soldering/reconnecting of the +/- battery lead.
I would consider that this is an older bike with a brushed motor, so not as good as a more modern machine. It could also have other faults that will only show up after buying a new battery.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but if anyone, like me, has much the same problem, this may help:
1. If the battery seems completely dead, it is worth opening it up at the plug end and checking the fuse, which is a standard "euro" style fuse (as fitted to loads of cars) and if it needs replacement, you should be able to get one from Halfords or similar.
2. It's very difficult (I'm trying not to say impossible) to get a straight swap off-the-peg li-ion battery pack that will fit inside the case, because of the way the cells are arranged. There seems to be 30 cells (18650s presumably) arranged in 3 (wired in parallel) blocks of 10. Each block of 10 is arranged in a 3-4-3 "stretched-hexagon" shape, wired in series to give 36-37v. So the cells themselves run length-ways in the case. All of the off-the-peg li-ion packs are assembled so that the cells would be oriented across the case, and since the cells themselves are 65 mm long, the packs are usually around 70 by 40 mm - too big to fit in the case which has an internal diameter of 73 mm.
Writing this now, I'm wondering if the cells in the later "bottle" style packs have the same configuration as the X-6/X-24 pack.
But if you want to renew the original Powabyke battery pack, the only option AFAIK is to take it to a re-cell specialist.
The simpler option to me seems to get a rear rack mounted battery which I've seen for £229 (including rack) for a 10 Ah unit, much more than the 4.4 Ah OEM one. This may be the route I end up going down.
