powabyke charger plug type

Does anyone know what the type of connector / plug used on a Powabyke charger is called?

It looks exactly like an RF plug on a coaxial television aerial cable, only the central pin is somewhat fatter.

I'm trying to get a socket to run off this charger so need to be able to identify it. While I could hack it off and replace with standard XLR or similar plug, that would mean it wouldn't work with the Powabyke so plan A is to track down this connector. Thinking about it, Plan B would be to hack this one off and make a fly lead adaptor with it and an XLR for the Powabyke, but I'll try plan A first!

Anyone have any thoughts on what it is?

not a lot of help but i have just tried my sakura charger on the powabyke and it fits, so at least its not a powabyke special.

Frank, if you can post a picture and/or give dimensions I may may be able to identify it. Alternatively if anyone stocks it the chances are that RS components will, it might be worth a look if you have half a day to browse their vast site.

Thanks very much for the kind offer. However, I also need one of the sockets that the charger plugs in to on the battery case. I don't want to be cheeky but if you had one of those lying around too...!

Did we ever find out what type of plug this is? I could do with one I have a spare charger which I would like to leave at work, however it has the wrong plug.

Phono plugs

The plug you need is a male phono. When fitting, the center pin should be +ve and the outer sleeve is -0v. Available from MAPLINS or any shop selling audio connectors.
