Does anyone know where I can buy a '99' with two flakes?
At 15:56 today, an ice cream van will go down your road. He has them for £1.50 for a basic 99 ,or £2 with two flakes, strawberry sauce and hundreds and thousands. If you can't wait, go to McDonald's and get a Macflurry, which is better.

Don't forget that you have to ride your bike 14.71 miles to burn off the calories from a double 99, while as a drink of water with ice cubes cancels out a ginger biscuit.

There is moderation, mainly by joint administrator HelenJ, but it's site policy to keep it as minimal as possible.

Occasionally old hands like myself will draw Admin's attention when we think some action could be due.
.
For them.to ignore.

The complete lack of moderation on this site is double edged. On the one hand folk are allowed to post about outlawed drugs, insult each other and promote what is infact illegal equipment ( derestricting stuff, dongles etc, over 250w ebikes) , posting stuff in wrong place, political arguments etc etc but on the other hand site is alive and flourishing with lots of traffic.
Long term posters on a diving forum were consulted as to wether to police site stronger , ban regular offenders etc etc. I must confess to voting for stronger moderation but the site is now poorly attended and actually quite boring.
Much as we all dislike the stuff mentioned I d bet we all read the more controversial threads...
I suppose as long as folk aren't actually breaking the law...
Its only a forum at end of day. ( There were a couple of threats early on on Brexit forum which was OTT.)

When I first came I was surprised at level of " banter" on many threads and very surprised at open discussions about derestriction etc etc..
My view with all that was police could come on here know exactly who and what to look for..doesnt seem to be on their radar at moment but if it ever is this site will be a great resource for them...

Don't forget this is an international forum with many overseas members who have different laws. For that reason we have a forum entitled Speed Pedelecs (S-Pedelecs), Non-EAPCs & overseas.

There's also the MTB section with mostly off-road riding.

In addition some members also have homes and e-bike in other countries where the laws are different.

I appreciate your reply
Dont get me wrong its annoying but it certainly doesnt keep me up at night :)
You do have some very good points for and against moderation and obviously even i wouldnt want to be policed that strong that it ended up in a reduction in the sites traffic
I still say thou it would be nice if people would post things where there meant to as its not rocket science :)

Ps.i dont get into politics so havent even looked at the brexit thread but from you said im glad i havent .

Moderation is great for dealing with personal comments, but, as Zlatan says, moderating content tends to drive people away until you end up with only the boring stuff.

While we're on the subject of derestricting, we've had a couple of people who mentioned that they had derestricted their bikes and later had unrelated problems. The sellers/importers wouldn't honour the warranty because they'd seen their posts about derestriction, so if anybody does it, keep it a secret.

1) Please let the technology of ebikes infiltrate the world of ice cream vans. The stinking diesel exhaust coming out of most of them is disgusting. A few hefty batteries would sort them out...

2) Nearest Macs is closed until tomorrow - for refurb. (Although only just round the corner, I have never actually been there.) Next nearest is about 9 miles away - and over a toll bridge.

While we are on the subject of ice cream and junk food distribution centres, now for something completely different, a non powered ride:

Am I off topic enough? Do I get a prize?

I took less than an hour :) and if those climbs look brutal on the graph they are actually much worse in the flesh
