Don't worry too much, flecc probably hit the 'submit' button before finishing the posting.

A 'thread', once started, can only be removed by the forum administrator. The original poster can however 'edit' the posting. Flecc probably didn't want to disturb the administrator during the holiday period.

Obviously Flecc is informing the community that Dud will be posting something of great interest here in the near future.

Clever Flecc

It was all a rouse (is that how it is spelt?) just to confirm that Flecc really does deserve the Guru title :D

All that it actually confirms is that Flecc has problems with "g"s and "h"s as well as "Backspace" and "Enter".

I thought maybe Christmas had hit Flecc too hard and he was trying to ask for "spare change" to put in the electricity meter or something! :p

Hey, I've gotta do something now my bike's off the road!

As I've often mentioned I use the "zone approximation" typing method, which consists of lashing out in the general direction of the area where the required letter was last seen, trying to hit two or three keys at once to maximise the chances of getting the required one. Then all the superfluous letters are edited out afterwards.

"beg" was going to be part of "behalf", but an interruption lead to me accidentally jogging in the post entry as Colin suspected, with title editing out impossible as Blew-it pointed out.

I don't bother admin with removing the odd error posting like this, letting time cast it adrift in the backwaters of past pages, but this time no-one will let that happen as yet. Maybe the thread will still be here next Xmas, creating new records for thread length and duration. :)

Happy New Year for 2011.

Happy New Year for 2012. ;)

I think we've all done something like that at one point. I've made some brutal spelling errors (due to wireless keyboard) and posted on other boards without checking. :D

No - still not buying it

This explanation from Flecc is far too complete and plausable to be believed.

I have done a bit of research and think I can reveal the truth

Flecc has obviously recently won a holiday on a remote luxury island (see here) and was letting us all know this is where he has now been posted - "Posted on Beg"

He is obviously very pleased with such a result hence the message "Dude Posting"

However, it appears on reflection Flecc must have felt this a little crass and so edited the text to read "Dud posting" to try and lead us all to believe he was not enjoying his posting on Beg - or Lusty Beg Island to give it its full name.

I say good on Flecc for winning such a trip - just shame about the current weather over there!!

Enjoy your break & Happy New Year everyone
