As a formally trained "hands on" engineer, I am very confident that I am able to resolve pretty much any mechanical issue that might arise on my bike.

I'm conscious though, that a banker night have unparalleled insights on how I should manage my pension but could be absolutely clueless when picking up a spanner.

Just an example, there are many professions where mechanical aptitude is unimportant.

Here's the thing though, as long as you can Google/watch you tube.....you can pretty much solve anything relating to bike maintenance.

DIY or LBS discuss?
