Perhaps a silly question, perhaps not?

I just took delivery of a Cube Kathmandu this week. Really enjoying the bike and Bosch power train, though, sorry again if this is obvious. When I plug in the charge cable into the frame socket, it doesn't appear to charge? Though if I take the battery out (powertube 625), and plug in directly, the lights flash and charges up nicely!? (Using new supplied Bosch 4a charger.)

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a fault with the on frame socket?? What would normally indicate in bike charging? Assume something pops up on the intuvia?

Thanks for any advice

sounds like a dodgy connector batt should charge the same on and of the bike led wise, cant say i have ever charged the batt on my bike.

Thanks, I thought that, but needed to check I wasn't missing anything else!

I had a Kathmandu until recently, and charging on the bike worked fine. Just make sure that you are inserting the charging plug through the aperture correctly and pushing it fully home. Failing that, as soundwave says, it seems like a dodgy connector.

Thanks, could I ask what visual indicator there is when charging in frame please? Does the intuvia light up / indicate charge?

To be honest, I can't remember! I do recall getting a load of separate manuals with the bike, though, covering general stuff, battery, charger etc. It may well be covered in one of them. Contrary to many bike producers, I found that Cube went to the opposite extreme with a multitude of manuals. Another Cube/Intuvia owner will probably be along soon to supply the answer.

I have a Cube Stereo with the Bosch CX gen 4 and 625 Bosch battery and mine charges whilst on the frame you just have to make sure that you push the power lead home fully, maybe yours is not connected inside ? the Kiox display will light up with a charging graphic then.

Update: Bike went into my local Bosch ebike service centre for investigating yesterday. And once opened up they found that a cable was not clipped in properly. Job done . Got a free software update out of it at least, the extra torque is cracking! ‍♂️
