Hi there,
Have been a member here for a while but not active. However a couple of weeks ago my wifes Bosch gen1 motor was causing a problem.
I thankfully diagnosed and fixed the problem which was the pawls sticking.Unfortunately when refitting all and testing I had no motor assistance, although walk assist functioned.
I disassembled and on inspection discovered that the pcb pictured was possibly damaged.
After much internet browsing I realised that no new electrical parts are available.
I then browsed Pedelecs and came across Performance Iine Bearings.
After some discussion they thought they had one in stockalthough untested. Well , it arrived quickly and thankfully it worked!
Big thanks to Performance line for all the help and to this forum for facilitating.
I thought that we would have to either buy a new motor or new bike. A new bike was promptly offered by our local Bosch expert as for them to supply a new motor would be around £800. on further chat they don’t work to component levels!
The missus is a happy bunny and I’ve got loads of brownie points and the satisfaction that with help I have managed to dodge the throw away!
Thanks again and ride safe
