Very interested in your experience with the Horizon Greyfox - I take it you have a similar knee problem? Front hub conversions seem to come with issues, how did it work for you + what power rating did you get? How does the Scott eSub compare?
Sorry I haven't replied i have been working away
Yes I had an operation on my knee that didn't cure the problem (only a new knee will) but improved it dramatically so i converted my Dawes after much research on here i chose front wheel hub purely because it was so simple to convert, and convert back again if my knee and it would give me "Two Wheel" drive, I live in north Staffordshire very close to the peak district so it is extremely hilly terrain, and the hub sometimes struggled, however my Scott seems to take it in it's stride which you would hope it would at 5 times the cost !!!.
I subsequently put my conversion kit up for sale on this forum and have had second thoughts as it hasn't sold so i will keep both bikes just in case i need a back up

Thanks Greyfox, hope your knee gets better.

I'm wondering if the Raleigh Motus might do the trick - any good + what's their range, can't find anything - anybody got one?

Well they're claiming a range of 30 - 110 miles.

Given that it's a 400Wh battery I should of thought that the lower end of that spread is more realistic. That said, I have no experience of this particular drive system.
24.3 kg = 2 more than the R&M. It has great hydraulic rim brakes which are much lighter than disks, where is that extra weight? Seat and seat post? Mudguards?

Hi Graham,

As well as complete off the peg electric bikes we also sell conversion kits and offer an installation service.

You mentioned that you have an Airnimal Joey and Trek MTB, below is an example of a Joey we converted for a customer along with typical MTB conversion.

I'm not ready yet to convert my Joey as it has other benefits but I like what you've done - does it still fold + what sort of range do you get?
