I also look forward to hearing any recommendations as slippery pedals are one of the things I dislike about bike riding.I bought a pair of flat ones but on first usage found them slippery when wet.
Eddie that's where the problem arises. Last week bought a pair of Giro flat MTB shoes which have Vibram soles,and they are the ones that are slipping. . May have to revert to the old pedals when wet. Possibly have a look at some of the old fashioned rubber block typesPerhaps think about changing your footwear to dedicated mtb shoes/boots.
The soles are often designed, so that you don't slip off the pedals.
