Pedalix Conversion Kit

Does anyone know anything about/have any experience of this kit?

Home - Pedalix / E-Bike Conversion Kit

(Apologies if I haven't inserted the link correctly.)
What you want to know?

My experience after testride is:
Driving in flat terrain give good support up to more than 30km/h and bring a lot of fun.
Controll of the speed is a little poor, on a very small fingerwheel as a throttle.
You need Kojak tyre´s otherwise it is to noisy. Or you use the sidewheel motor, special designed for mountainbike-tyre.

The kit is made in Korea.

Advance is: light weigth and easy install.
Disadvantage: poor power on hill´s and no speedlimit, noisy and if you come into a dangerous situation and forgot to turn the fingerwheel-throttle back, the motor runs and runs and runs....because of no PAS

If I remember correct, the price is near 1700Euro, so it is nothing for my wallet ;-)

I thought we'd seen the last of friction drives onto tyres, I well remember all the early petrol add-on bike motors like the PowerPak that worked this way, and the later electric ones like the Zap and Viking

Another dry weather system only I think, so not one for the UK.

Thanks to you both.

I don't need to give that one further consideration.:)
