Pas sensor issue

Did you marry up the wire sequence correctly 5v to 5v , Gnd to Gnd & signal to signal ? Sometimes you have to change the wire order sequence to match as not all sensors are wired the same.
The new sensor and disc should work.

On the controller I can check 5v Gnd and sig, how is this done on sensor end is there a colour code at the sensor I would expect red 5v blue Gnd yellow sig Is this correct?

I changed one like that lately. I got this photo online and seemed ok. I think yellow was the ground and blue the signal in my case but let us know if photo not ok.

China wire colours can be hard to cipher but Sturmey is correct.
Gnd is either Black or Yellow, if both are used Black is usually the default and the other being signal.
5v is also the same either Red or Brown, Red is usually default.
In you case Red/ 5v, Yellow/ Gnd & Blue/ Signal. Once the logic is followed the remaining colour is always signal.

The disc is for RH fitting so arrow direction is clockwise.

This is a old problem what I've had kindly been advised on but what ever wire combo I try can't get the pas sensor to kick in Ive got red 2.89v and 2.75v on green and 0v on black from controller end ive tried moving all the wire combo on pas as see in pic as suggested I have also try to find what output I get from the pas side when I whizz the pedal round again gone clockwise and anti to make sure and get no reading I suspect duff pas. But it's unlikely.
How can I test a pas sensor to ensure its works.
Or is there anything I've missed? Kindest Regards

You may find that purchasing and e-bike tester may help you further, though as I do not have (or need) one, I cannot be 100% sure, but they apparently test out many parts for correct operation, of the controller, the motor, the hall effect sensors, brake sensors and much more, for proper operation and cost only around 10 UK Pounds on ebay.
Probably about the same cost as 10 minutes work from a LBS!
Buy one with the round LED display, it makes the signals " more obvious", than the other types, I have been told.
Just like the one demonstrated here:-

Assuming that you buy one, do please let us know if it helps you in any positive way, as I hope that many here might be helped further with any problems they might experience.
Also, any negative effects you notice, also please mention.
As I believe that now several people here have bought them (and hopefully used them to help them find/ fix their bike problems), maybe we could start to put a "Guide in use" comments, to help others in the future.
I personally feel that such testers are possibly particularly important for those who are not expert DIYers with regard to electrics and electronics, which may turn out to be the greater majority here, but guessing only....
An e- bike shop that I visit here, though IMHO they are "Experts", have bought one, simply because they can find a fault faster, with less need to swap a part out, just to see if it fixes the problem! I was pleasantly surprised, and it made good sense to me personally!

Hi. Those voltages look low. Normally (there my be exceptions) hall sensors are powered from the 5 Volts in the controller, sometimes fed via a diode , so I would expect something between 4.2 to 5 volts on the controller side. Try disconnecting the pas unit ( in case there is a short circuit in the pas) and read the hall supply voltage from the controller again, especially the reading between the red and black wire.
