PAS; KT-V12L / KT-V6L interchangeability

I have a bike with a YOSE front wheel and PAS - which has now broken. The exact reference number was worn off so I bought one that looked similar - namely the KT-V6L. it doesn't work now fitted. Perhaps the original one was the KT-V12L. are these two interchangeable in some way by altering the programming or must I source a direct replacement? BTW: I live on s Scottish island so an ebike shoppe is not easily accessed.

It has six sensing magnets instead of 12 , it should work ok.
Enter the settings and change parameter value of C1 to see if it works, usually for the V series it will be value 05 - 07 so try one of them first.
