Hi all I have seen a Panda xl on ebay. it's a new bike 48v 8ah Samsung battery and seems quiet cheep for what it is. Any advice or draw backs on the bike or company would be appreciated. I have no experience of a 48v battery are they more expensive to replace etc..

I have bought a battery from Panda bikes. They seemed a very efficient company. The battery has been reliable and at the time was the cheapest replacement I could find.

This is not panda bikes, this is panda leisure bikes, a different bunch of people, two people in their 60s in Kent, whereas Olly (late 20s I think) runs Panda Bikes from Nottingham.I'm afraid I don't know anything about Panda Leisure Bikes . Olly's very helpful.

Weird because Leisure incorporated 6 months after Panda, there might be some passing off going on if people think they're getting an Olly bike but in fact are getting a Leisure bike.

Nice bike and excellent price too.
I expect you pay about £250 for a replacement battery.

Ah, yes, Panda Leisure!

Bought my first e-bike off them,IMG_20150420_161133.jpg looks very similar to the present spec. Mine came with the 48v 10aH battery. Very helpful people, couldn`t fault the service at all.
Typical low end Chinese bike that you have to treat gently. Decent performance and ideal for someone starting off in e-biking.
At the price don`t expect a hill eating monster though.

Hi just seen this

Yes! You are absolutely right there is serious infringement on our registered trademark by this company. Also very annoying that they seem to have no online presence or phone number - many customers are ringing us thinking we are the manufacturer of their bike and we have no one to forward them too.

  • The 31.01.15 accounts indicate that the company is either dormant or no longer trades.
and a two minute search on ebay gives their home address, email ad and phone number,

possibly you both were buying from the same chinese Panda bike factory ?? !!

Yes it does seem like they have stopped trading - which is good ultimately for us as we won't have to issue a cease and desist. But annoying because a lot of their products are out there with people wanting support and contacting us. Thanks for your help though, I have now got some details to pass people on to.

Incidentally - no we were not buying from the same chinese "Panda bike factory". "Panda" is our own brand and we source from various suppliers in China, and then deliver from a UK warehouse with UK support.

I don't knoe where they got their stuff but it is nothing to do with our operation

Cheers again

And me! Very helpful, front motor kit gets me where I want every day at a good price. (£220?) About a year and a half now.
