Oxygen E-Mate - Replace Battery and BMS

Hi Folks,
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for replacing the battery and BMS on a circa 2014 Oxygen E-Mate (like this).

Battery specs are:
Herranker/Das Kit 36V/13AH

I've identified several possible replacements but wondered if anyone had any tips before I buy a full Battery/BMS kit and replace everything but the motor.

Could I just homebrew a new battery into the existing Das kit set up or am I asking for trouble?

The DAS kit I had a good few years ago was generic, if the battery connection is a generic two wire set up then any battery of the correct voltage is fine.

Just as an update to this...decided I'm going to replace everything but the Motor so have 2 questions I'd be very gratefull for any feedback on:

On reading through older posts about Das Kit - it appears they reversed the connections on this era of bikes to lock in the consumer.

1: Does this apply to the connector from the rear hub motor (looks like a standard 9 pin male Juliet connector) and if so- what are the options (am thinking new connector).
2: Would I be able to retain the existing PAS (3 pin juliet) to save myself a job on pulling the crank to install a new one or would it interfere the new controler function (Im going for a 36V 17Ah integrated battery/controller?

The motor is wired by the factory to std layout by the manufacturer, if for example one was to find the motor ran roughly (phase sequence incorrect) then one would simply change the phase sequence or if using a KT controller use the screen to change the sequence. Like wise the pas should be a std wire sequence if not PAS simply won't work and one would have to buy a new PAS sensor.

I think in the main the obstacle that was simply used was to reverse the battery cradle polarity.

1. No. It's standard
2. Yes, depending on which controller you get. You'll be OK with KT controller and LCD3. Make sure that you connect the three wires in the correct sequence.
