My speed sensor need replacing, it works but I shortened it and the plastic loops for the ties to go through have snapped.

Andrew is being sluggish with response for parts and I was wondering if anyone knew what else could be used.

It's three wires, so could be a hall sensor, but not sure.

Not like Andrew. He's normally quick.

You can use any cycle computer one. If you don't have an old cycle computer, you can getone from Ebay for about £2. Cut off the sensor and join the two wires. Use a bit of shrink-sleeve or tape to insulate it

Yes, I was thinking the same, but most appear to be two wired which may be a standard reed switch. The oxydrive sensor is three wires which may well be a hall sensor.

Ah yes, I forgot that, but all is not lost. The cycle computer two-wire sensor should work between the 5v and signal wire, so you have to find out which wire is which. If you're lucky, the Oxydrive wire will be red, black and green. You can't see them until you cut off the old sensor because of the moulded connectors. If you tell me the colours, I can probably tell you which is which.

Already had cut it two years ago as it was too long. RED, BLACK and YELLOW

Andrew has now responded, £25 (seems a tad steep) but will probably go for this original.

Let me know anyway as this experiment will only cost a couple a quid. Worth me trying and feeding back just for that.

The Cycle computer sensor would connect to red and yellow. Try it to see if it works. I'm 99% sure it will.
