I have an Oxydrive CST rear hub drive kit and the motor emits quiet a loud wining noise. Is there any way to quieten this down? Does it need any internal greasing?

The ones I rode were all pretty quiet, so the answer must be yes. Apart from that, you're not giving us a lot to go on.

Thanks d8veh.
Do you know where I can get any instructions on how to service this hub?
It's the 8Fun CST hub.
Not sure if you need more info than this.

OK, I've got the motor apart (quiet easy really).
I can see the planetary gears have some black grease on them.
Does anybody know what type of grease this is?
Can it be replaced with lithium or silicone grease or TF2 grease?

you can use TF2 grease on the metal parts. The nylon cogs don't need anything but if you want to, use Unical Aviation Synthetic Grease AG-11.
The noise can come from the ball bearings. They can get pitted by water ingress. Turn the rotor slowly to feel any gratings. If in doubt, replace the ball bearings when you have the motor open.
