Support more of your weight on the pedals.

It's a very comfortable seat you just don't want to sit on it !!! But seriously you can harden you arse to anything given time !!. I have very similar saddles on both electric bike and normal which saves you adjusting to two! But it takes time??.

I do hope you're not suggesting a stint in prison to achieve this

I'd imagine that it is very sensible option. It would certainly stop my current riding issue of severe and supposedly very common problem of having a boil or inflamed mole, just in the position of where the cut out is. That saddle would currently be heaven to me. 41miles of pain today. :(

Indeed, boils often start from an infected skin pore, that in turn infected due to blockage caused by trapped sweat. That saddle supports in the usual places like any other while giving ventilation for sweat evaporation where it counts.

Ow. Been there. Currently using the 2014 version of this saddle, which helped http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00NZ58GKS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1427044304&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX200_QL40&keywords=Respiro+relaxed&dpPl=1&dpID=31ENYa5qkZL&ref=plSrch which is about £30 (it's for a Dutch style posture, they do a more forward leaning one called the 'moderate', and in the lidl sale there's a ripoff of the latter for 7.99,I've just bought one and can get the brand details if required). I personally think the wider 'big bum' design helps avoid pressure where it shouldn't be, it's not perfect but was a real improvement for me over a normal saddle.

It takes a while to break them in, but I am a big fan of Brooks saddles. I have two B17s together with a titanium one that wasn't cheap on my M2L titanium Brompton..

Although softer saddles are more comfy for short rides, for me they get very uncomfortable after about 3 or 4 miles. I find that I can sit on a Brooks saddle all day long.

I use this saddle for both my electric bikes http://www.amazon.co.uk/MTB--Touring-saddle-Selle-Plus-2014/dp/B000NVYGR4/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1429637045&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=selle+smp+plus
Whilst it is expensive it is the most comfortable saddle I have ever found and has saved many people who thought that they would have to give up cycling. No pressure on the nerve and all the weight is transmitted through your ischial tuberosity. Lashings of chamois butter (no Last Tango in Paris references needed here) are called for.
