Some initial onfo on the 750w unit from an Endless sphere thread

Well I've done it, taken my first successful (moderately) ride on my 2012.5 Downtube Nova using the new Bafang 750w 48v Bottom Bracket drive.
For those of you who are impatient and want something interesting to look at, here are the details of my first ride (mostly, some forgetting to unpause) - the looping around at the end is me waiting for the police to come and wake a guy sleeping in our unsecure parking lot far from other cars but right next to my 2012 ALiner Classic camper (for sale in MINT condition if anyone is interested).
[Bike Setup]

At nominal voltage I was able to sustain 25.7 mph hot off the pack I was able to hit 29 mph.

[My initial impressions]
After reprogramming the system to allow 41 mph while thinking its running 40 kph I raised the speed limit enough to test the wind out of the motor, this is as simple as changing the tire size in the Advanced Settings screen and also in main settings adjust it so that 40 km/h is the limit.
Let me be honest, I tried adjusting the Level Settings between 2 and 9 and although at 9 the throttle seemed to kick in faster, there is for sure a SLOW START mechanism within the controller which is currently enabled in the software. The result is a lag time between 1-4 seconds before full power comes on while going WOT in perhaps second gear which should dump full power and wheelie practically.
If that issue, the speed limiting and adjustable voltage cutout, phase and primary current levels, etc can be adjusted then this kit has huge potential.
One issue I've solved is moving the LCD screen to the battery compartment (the main compartment) - I am building a cable now to carry an brake interrupt from an inline trigger on the front brake, the power and control buttons will be bar mounted, the throttle will be bar mounted. Everything else can go in a project box within the trunk - in truth as a folder it takes up too much space, isn't needed, doesn't reflect current or AH used / Capacity so I would prefer a CA in it's place anyway.
Once the "smooth start" is figured out (and resume after throttle back to shift gears, I can pedal once to engage the derailer) then I think this will be a fantastic kit for anyone...
If someone doesn't make the software available for the onboard controller - I've already built a loom to link a lyen 6 fet mini monster to the Bafang Drive - haven't adapted yet and hopefully won't... I would much rather reprogram and perhaps beef up the caps and FETs onboard.
All that said, it was fun to ride and has great potential!
Hope this helps someone !
