I am trying to help a lady with a dead charger for a 24v bike, the only information that I have from her is that it says Octopus CEPV on it, I have attached pictures, I wonder if anybody knows of anything compatible out there, I guess I could buy a generic 24v charger and butcher the leads but don’t really want to do that, any help much appreciated.

Before you do anything check/replace the fuse in the 240v plug it should use a 13a fuse. The Sans don't have an internal fuse so if a plug fuse change doesn't work then the charger is toast.
The charger is a basic/generic model made by Sans there are others similar out there that are much the same. You can buy a similar charger 29.4v max charge on Ebay for about £12 - £20, the issue is like a few ebike sellers is that they use a non standard type charge connector and finding a correct one may prove difficult. They like to try and lock you in so you have to pay for anew one at inflated prices. Your best bet is as you alluded to nit wanting to do and that is change over the charge connector, this best done by simply opening the charger (an easy job) and swapping the charge lead/connector over.

The charge connector in the second pic looks like an RCA 10.5mm type, measure the ext dia to confirm.
Do you mean a 13a style cartridge fuse. Surely a charger should not need a fuse above 3amp; maybe 5amp at most to allow for peaks? It should be using around 0.2amp from the mains if it is charging at 2amp.
It no matter what fuse is fitted, it needs checking first of all.

Many thanks, never heard of an RCA 10.5 before, found an eBay retailer listing a 24v charger with a range of interchangeable plugs including RCA10.5, very grateful, saved me opening the charger (had assumed it was a ’special’ designed to make sure we had to buy a replacement at an inflated price as you suggested).

From your pic view I wasn't 100% sure or not that it is an RCA10.5 but now you have connector type, you are in a better position to see if the one you found matches your one.

You need to look for frog battery's Joe, you may get one the same or if not buy one with the mount. As long as it is 24v you can use any amp hour/capacity battery, just double check polarity is correct when connecting up. It look pretty much like a generic case/mount type used on various brands of those folding shopper style bikes.

You don't have to stick with a 10Ah one. Any number of amp-hours will work - the more the better. Search for "24v frog battery". You'll find them on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Banggood, etc, or you can buy them from Chinese resellers like BMSBattery, Topbikekit, Greenbikekit and PSW power. You should have to pay 20% duty if shipped from China, but sometimes they slip through.
