I think it highlights the danger that drivers see a cycle and automatically make assumptions as to its behaviour and capabilities with all the problems that can lead to when they are proved wrong.

I started thinking about the strain on the rear spokes attaining those speeds and also the very harsh regen probably more strain than acceleration, really an eye opener.
Is it right the motor on throttle goes to 50K but with pedal it continues to assist to 80K, or is he getting to 80K with no assist?
Is it just me that wants one, really, really, badly.

Great motorbike however he rides like an idiot in public places putting others at risk. Probably one day all will end up in tears though they will be others mourning him at his funeral.
But he says "there is the cut out at 50" when he is not peddling, when he is peddling he gets to 80. (KMH)
The bike is only twice the weight of yours, but goes 20 MPH faster than you?
Does any one know how 80 KMH is achieved?

its just a sensor as it is just a massive hub motor at the end of the day and no way you would get an extra 30kmh buy peddling a 50kg bike lol
the hub motor in the link will do 60mph plus but no way you can use that on a normal bike frame as i think its 3kw max that motor is 7kw+ and you will need one mofo of a batt to go that fast for any distance.
