Morning all,
Just a note to update any long-standing members:
It''s been 8 or 9 years now, since I put that 1st bafang conversion on a 2nd-hand Carrera & I've done a few miles, chugging around mid-Cornwall on a variety of steeds since then.
Currently on a Cube Reaction with a Bosch CX: Had it nearly two & a half years now, have done very almost 9,000 miles & absolutely love the system.
My main interest is photography, of the action kind, so lots of opportunity for surfing & waters port, along with the usual car/bike trials & mountainbike events.
The E-bike is the perfick mode of transport to avoid the money-grubbing car parking charges down here.
Anyhoo, the reason for this note - Due to lock down regulations & idleness & senility, the service icon has been on since 5000 miles & the dealer with Bosch computer now being booked- out 'til God knows when; I had the mechanicals serviced (chain, cassette & front sprocket all knackered) by the local singletrack specialist & was a tad concerned as to whether the Bosch bits should be checked: (Should mention my bike is waaay quieter than my buddy''s £7,500 Rice & Mullet, which has 'zackly the same electrics).
A quick look on here has assured me all is well unless something falls off, or starts clonking.
Thanks chaps,
Jack
