I forgot to secure my Powabyke X6 battery this morning and it jumped free and got dragged along the road. The battery gained some more dents and scratches but once I'd put everything back in place the motor was working as normal.
About four miles later I pulled back my throttle and nowt happened, all the power lights were on but the motor didn't kick in.
I charged the battery and it went through all the usual stages (red light for a couple of hours then steady green light for a while and finally flashing green light). However charging the battery hasn't fixed the problem, I get three green lights put pulling back the throttle whilst turning the pedal doesn't trigger the motor.
I've checked the pedelec ring and the magnets haven't drifted away from the sensor. And seeing as the battery charged as normal and I'm getting a full set of green lights on the bike I'm guessing the the connections weren't broken.
Any other ideas of things I can check?
I think one possibility is that the battery got damaged when it came off, and the vibrations from riding it made things progressively worse until the BMS decided that enough was enough and it wasn't going to give me any more power. Does his sound likely?
I've had the bike and battery for 17 months and done over 5000 hilly miles. The battery can only just cope with one leg of my 10 mile each way commute so it's been emptied and recharged around 500 times.
