Fantastic, just managed to suss out the problem with the bike.
The plug going up to the throttle had a bad connection on the blue wire, cut off the plug and soldered all the 7 wires and heat shrinked.
Still didnt work so put a negative on the small black wire from the 7 core gong to the battery location (still no joy) tried a positive and heard a small click from the controller, bingo everything now works.
This confirms it requires a positive on the small black to excite the controller. I have wired this through the battery keyswitch so now have an immobilisor
FYI The throttle is controlled by twisting, the red switch changes the speed so it must be a 2 speed controller and the green button is the brake.
