So the B version is the only one that has the gear but off? I'd like to add that.a quick way to check is does it have the 6volt light cable or gear cut off cable most 2017 versions do or the year of manufacture is in the serial number

cheers mate appreciate the help. i had only found the pedalease ones on ebay from uk sellers, must have missed that onejust checked maf items on ebay says bbs02b 750W in the add but £437.00
on website also bbs02b but cheaper£382.00
I second that, pedalease do send you there products very quickly but after that ignore any problems you have...PayPal settled a refund for meEclipse abit slow small online retailer lack of staff time but generally they are good, email only down side.
Pedalease avoid like the plague great initially to get the sale but afterwards is non existent for CS.
The only real complaint on here about Eclipse is that contact is email only. After sales and CS appear to be quite good though email response isn't always quick, I believe this is down to being a small team with this retailer.Eclipse have emailed back saying they're adding stock soon so I'll wait on them I think, seems like they'll be better after sale.
Cheers guys
It says it's "basically a reprogrammed 750w kit" is there any more to it or could I just reprogramme it myself down the line?Eclipse Bikes have the 500W BBS02 in stock. I believe this is exactly the same unit as the 750W unit.
Would that be the case if it says 750w on the enclosure and is a 25a controller, could it still be locked to 18?I would check with the seller that it's possible to change the amp setting on the 500w drive. It would seem on some of the new BBS01 250/350w drives that the new software does not allow this, so the 500w may now be locked to 18 amp and cannot be set to 25 amp.
No, if it says 750w and 25 amp 48v, that is what you will get. I may well be wrong about the 500w drive, but it's worth checking before you buy. Bafang has deff. made changes to the sortware/firmware on some drives in recent times.Would that be the case if it says 750w on the enclosure and is a 25a controller, could it still be locked to 18?

This is what I based my doubt on and could well apply to the BBS02 500w, but may not. It is only my suspicion. As pete.c says, you will not know until you have the drive and a programming cable and try to change the amperage setting.my 250 watt will not go above 15 amps with out an error code others can go up to 20 amps without a problem they have different firmware
