Whilst I am a newbie to the site, I have done a conversion to a Boardman hybrid using a Bafang BS1 kit from Brighton eBikes. I am very pleased with the result and it has enabled me to carry on cycling whilst I have lung problems. I was miffed when I was told that I could not use the kit on my Thorn Raven because of the eccentric bottom bracket. I am still wishing to use this bike and am contemplating a front hub kit. However, on going through this site, I caught reference to people managing to use a mid drive kitd with some sort of conversion tot the bottom bracket. I am intrigued by this and I guess I should follow this up on the conversion forum. In the meantime, I am impressed with the depth of knowledge that is available on this site.
