New to the whole cycling thing but the slightest incline kills me so some assistance is required. I must exercise therefore thought this forum would be a good idea to learn more about whats out there.

Hi "Relic" . . . I'm from Hotwells, Bristol and am relatively new to e-Biking (about six weeks) but am very happy with the front-wheel kit which I purchased from CycloTricity . . . you're welcome to try mine if you ain't far away.

I can breeze up the hills to Clifton now / Clifton Vale / Constitution Hill / Jacobs Wells Road . . . they've now become flat :)

Here's a link to the Bristol e-Bike Dealer's outlets - www.onmybike.co.uk - (seven in total)

Bristol is a great place to be if you want an electric bike. 2 good shops (Atmosphere and The Electric Transport Shop) with lots of different brands to try out and the new 50Cycles shop in Bond Street about to open for all the Kalkhoff bikes. You're spoilt for choice. I would strongly advise you to try out a number of different bikes before making a purchase.

I agree with Jonah about trying various bikes, but if you already own a perfectly good pedal-bike, I would definitely consider the kit option, as it's the lowest cost option for your ''first'' e-Bike, so you don't have to sell it, or find more room for a second bike (which is why I did mine that way).

Ride all the bikes with and without power.
Get one that is also good when the battery is flat.

And welcome. I'm north Bristol if you want to chat.
