I think this one deserves it's own thread because it might be a bit of a revelation.
The Sirocco CD | Chain Drive Electric Bikes from Woosh | electric bike sales & hire
I'm surprised they kept it so quiet (and sad that they didn't offer me or Old_Dave the chance to review it). Maybe it's not in stock yet.
Massive 15aH standard rack battery, means it should have a good range and it would be easy to change to a different battery arrangement if you wanted.
The speed is limited by the software in the King Meter. I know that you can get into the settings on the Oxygen King meter to increase the speed limit; however, I've heard that this one isn't the same, but I'm pretty sure that this one won't be sophisticated like the Bosch, so the magnet on the pedal trick should work. On the Oxygen one, if you remove the magnet, it defaults to 15mph max and I suspect that this one will be the same so it would need to see a pulse from somewhere.

Hopefully, Hatti will let us know soon about availability.

Nice spec for the money, a crank drive with a 15ah battery for 799 is quite remarkable

Hi everyone and thanks for your interest. The new crank drive models are at sea right now, due to arrive 3rd week Feb. I am somewhat knackered after a very long train journey and flying back to UK tomorrow night, so would be more than happy to answer queries from Monday onwards if that's OK.

That looks a fantastic bike and amazing value for money. Now that the throttle on the Kudos Ibex is doubtful this one looks even more attractive. As we all know throttles on
crank drive bikes are about as rare as hens teeth! And this is £500 cheaper than the Kudos and comes with proper mudguards as standard too.The motor looks surprisingly small and discreet; wonder how it drives the chainwheel? 15 ah battery too-almost sounds too good to be true!

Wasn't there some bloke who used to post on here who was after a crank drive bike with a throttle?

Oh I nearly forgot, it will be no good because he reckons all Chinese bikes are rubbish.

Hatti I hope you have ordered a few thousand of that model, as it`s sure to fly out of your warehouse . It would be fitting to rename it the WOOSH Eddieo in memory of a fallen Poster . I`m sure that he would love this model and take back everything he ever said about Chinese machines . I wouldn`t mind one myself , but would have to get my hacksaw to that top tube, to turn it into a stepthrough .

I hope they were not designed/made by the Top Gear team!

Well, I for one can hardly wait for a review......who is up for it ? ?

HEY, steady on guys, you nearly knocked me over in the rush, good job I had my trusty Tonaro to hang on to :p ..........I could have been killed in the crush....I dunno....where an interesting bike is concerned you men just seem to revert back to caveman mode....... :D

Seriously, well done Hatti......that sounds like an extremely strong contender, but the proof is in the testing ;)

Well I'd love to review it! I could compare it with my much-loved Tonaro Compy.Just wonder about the quoted torque-seems on the low side?

Too late. I'm first and Old_Dave is second. Anyway, you'd be heart-broken if it beats your Tonaro, so we'll save you the disappointment. I don't think torque is particularly low. My 500w Bafang BPM/CSTs have about 90NM at stall, but it drops to about 60NM by the time you get to 5mph, and it'll climb all but the very steepest hills without pedalling with my 100kg on board.

This bike looks very interesting.
A couple of points - what are the Top Gun suspension forks like? Could they be improved upon?
Would anyone else like to see this with a hub gear maybe a Nexus or Alfine?
Can't fault it for value for money though.
Barry.

2 questions, will you ship to Australia and is there a dutch style/step through in the works?

If you fitted panniers no one would notice its and e-bike.

Not the same "Ping" that we normally associate with LiFePO4 batteries though.

I believe the battery powering the Sirocco CD is manufactured by Advanced Electronics Energy Limited (AEE).

Ping An Insurance is a major holding/investment company covering a huge range of products manufactured in China.

If my memory serves correctly, Advanced Electronics Energy Limited supply batteries for EZEE and Wisper machines to name just two.

The Woosh Sirocco CD is a brilliant concept with a sensible battery size, and at that price it should appeal to a very wide market.

I believe they are the same as fitted to the Woosh Santana I had for a few days ...I've no doubt that £££ could be thrown at it and high spec forks could be fitted...

However... I rode the Santana for a few days over the normal pot holes in the roads and a did some lumps and bumps in a bit of light off road grassy earthy stuff (only a little bit Hatti ) and to be honest I never even thought about the forks, now thats a good thing cos they must of never given me cause to, lol
