curiously i read clarkson in the sunday times in a cafe today (cant get myself to buy murdoch crap for actual money). however, clarkson seemed better (worth a read if anyone feels that way inclined), he seems to have regained some mojo fromo being sacked and through a crisis. It's weird - in principle i genuiney dont like clarkson (his reactionary views are opposite of mine), but there is something about the way he says what he thinks (some of the time) that is very liberating, and liberal. On an entirely separate note i noted that murdoch press appears to be doing a complete 180 on Brexit - now backing staying - a few weeks ago it was furiously for leaving. What on earth is that about?

I thought i'd give TG another chance last night..... Well it started off quite well with the McLaren and i thought maybe, just maybe, this show is going to get better. But it was all downhill from there, just as bad as last weeks effort.
They are still ripping off Jezzas lines..... 'Our tame racing driver', 'All we know is he's called the Stig', 'Some say' and 'On that bombshell'

I agree. With the loss of the Clarkson team I think only a complete change would do, the mimicking of the old program was unlikely to work.
Other than the old Top Gear, no car program has ever worked well long term on UK TV.

Maybe Cameron, Farage and Corbyn could form a merry trio of new Top Gear presenters...
