Felicitations, One & All...

Mine arrived this morning - Postie was soaked, package nice & dry - Wished him a merry Christmas.

Has anyone tried pairing the Mercury via Bluetooth yet?

My phone finds it as a Bluetooth device, but none of the usual pins work - Tried 0000; 1111; 1234;9999; 8888 .... Nothing doing....

Will it only pair once the new client is installed? I hope so, or I'm in for problems, knowing how fickle Bluetooth can be!

PS: Phone is a Galaxy Note (MK 1) so ideal as a data screen if it pairs OK.
Read the manual. The code is 00000 (5 zeros).
I'm jealous as hell. I ordered mine in September, and not here yet :(

I decided that as I couldn't justify the cost then I wouldn't get one.

However ....

I've already spent more than the national debt of a small country so a few more £ won't matter, lol

Ordered :D

A question arises, can it use maps stored in the phone or does it need a data connection all the time ?

Whooo hoo!!
Mines arrived (christmas present from me to me).
This thing is going to take some figuring out:confused:
I'm slightly puzzled by it too, no instructions!! Geez the price we paid you'd think they could just print a few pages eh. Ah well, it's all online I guess, I'll have to stop being lazy and find the PDFs and print them out. I'm sure it's not as complicated as it looks once you know which wires go where.

PS Just had an email from Danny to say mine was sent 15/12/12. These guys really do respond well to emails :)

Thanks d8veh,

It now pairs, but only for about 5 seconds, then drops the connect.

I guess I'll just have to be patient 'til monday & try it with the new client.

I don't think the online user-manual has been updated yet, but I guess a lot of it is still relevant.

All instructions and manuals are on the website, but, as i haven't got mine yet:(, I haven't checked that they're the latest version. There was an email from Danny about waiting until something new was posted, but, as I haven't got mine yet :(, I haven't checked what it said.

I was just about to post the links when I saw that Jerry has pipped me to it.

I am sure there will be more support when the web site is updated. Speedict have very interactive support.

The old Speedict ebike odometer did not allow installed maps for the GPS to use, you need a data connection and it uses Google maps. I think the same is true for the Mercury at the moment, but I did put a request in to Danny for the ability to use pre installed maps. I am not sure whether it will be possible to do that at some stage in the future.

Hi Danny

A new thread with Speedict Support as its title may be better
