New seat required for

Any recommendations? Mine is starting to fall apart and isn't very comfortable.

I do mostly gentle off-road riding, towpaths and gravel tracks with some roadwork inbetween, I don't like the look of those padded razor blade types I just want a reasonably priced well padded one that won't leave me walking like John Wayne after a few hours. I'm 5ft 10in and a strong but well built lad in a podgy sort of way.

Brooks 66. Takes a little while to mould to your shape but comfy. Not cheap though. I initially bought a £20 Chinese copy but the front spring on that fractured and it's a bit close to sensitive parts!

I have mentioned previously on these forums that I prefer to use a noseless saddle. It takes bit of adjustment to get it right and a few miles of riding to get used to it, but, as always stated, for us chaps, it does protect the parts that others don't, if you see what I mean.

Which is normal when good company is made aware of some safety issues. Toyota and other car manufactures do the same.

I have 50 years of Brookes B17 saddle use. these were great when it was nose down a8se up style of riding. Now I ride in a more upright position they are not suitable at all. After much trial and error I found a saddle from Decathalon that works great for me and it is inexpensive and up to now as worn well.

I've a Syncros Tofino 2.0 Regular cro-mo rails, which im finding pretty comfy.

A heavily padded saddle will give you a sore bum, its the bones you need to sit on, not the flabby bits
One here new on Ebay for £50. Usually between £65-£70, so a fair saving.
