I notice that you have removed some of your (even) sillier posts.
Too late, friend; the damage is already done.

Quando 3.0 becomes Can-Do 3.0

... subtle as a brick and got to be the naffest name ever - the boys at 50 cycles have certainly been hard at it reworking the web site. Is it just me or have they increased the advertised price of the soon to be available, not Quando, since its ill-fated debut yesterday?

I think enough has been said about this now, please can the thread continue with the specifics about the bike, otherwise it will be locked.

Hopefully it won't cause a problem, but the new name of the bike, Can-Do, is already a registered trade mark of the long established Independent Living Aids company who trade throughout the world from their New York base;

I wonder...how many bikes out their carry the same name...

I can think of about 5 off the top of my head.

I always like the Kona Humuhumunukunukuapua Deluxe for a bike name. Means nothing.

Of course it was deception Scott, the page carried customer comments on the eZee Quando to promote a different bike.

Two or more wrongs never make a right, and other's misbehaviour is no excuse to so the same.

The first silly thing is that the product is quite decent and could easily sell without using someone else's product name, as I trust will happen now under it's new name.

The second silly thing is that you've lost a sale for an Agattu, someone mailing me so disgusted with what you've done that he will not buy from you as intended.
.
Probably me as well, as had gone full circle and was looking at the pro connect again....maybe a Raleigh version or a Heinzmann:rolleyes:

Can-Do v eBay 'generic' bikes

Can anyone see any material difference between the Can-Do at £895 intro rising to £945 and the hoardes of Chinese folders such as this one that would justify the massive difference in price?

If I was in the market for an electric folder I would seriously look at the C.H.White and Son offering based on a DAHON. A well established and good quality folder for the money (we have 3 - not electric)

I don't know of any in e-biking and I've been around e-bikes from their inception. Perhaps you could let us know of those five.

Of course I'm excluding those terms which cannot readily be proprietary, like Carrera, (Spanish=race) which is like GT or GL.

I can only see that it's assembled in Holland and may have the much higher assembly quality that's more common in Europe. Otherwise products like these sell to the very large number who are nervous of dealing online with companies not having a well known and advertised base with full repair facilities and qualified tech staff.

Notwithstanding the foregoing postings, 50cycles do have those and when they set their mind to it, they are capable of giving excellent service as recorded in this forum.

if i was in the market for a folder it would have to be 36 volts..not being up on batteries does this carry the same power and kick that my Quando 2 does..:( ..well the one i sold that is..i wathced the video to this bike and they appear to ride off at quite a nice speed, not sure if thats good camera work or real good speed,if my Quando 2 had of been geared and would pedal at above power only speed by at leat 3mph i would never have sold it as that would have been PERFECT....just seems in this life you have have everything you want....unless you can take bikes to bits Flecc style..mmmmm engineering at nightschools a thought:rolleyes:
