Greeting from sunny New Zealand where it’s currently a balmy 30° C / 85° F.
Own a few human powered bikes including a 26" Tange steel MTB that I've owned and ridden from the '80s, a reasonably modern 29er alloy frame MTB, and 700C road/ravel GRX equipped Surly steel frame bike, and now a Wisper Wayfarer M7.
I enjoy working on and upgrading bikes, in many cases slowly swapping parts to move up the Shimano food chain. I like to buy everything at auction (except for tubes and tyres).
My wife rides a TREK Allant+ 7S step thru with the Bosch Performance Line Speed mid motor and I find it a bit hard to keep pace!
Anyway, I picked up a pretty new looking Wisper Wayfarer M7 with the 700 Wh battery via a local auction site for around £1,000 and that pushed me to sign up. Tyres are presently CST Rock Hawks so I'll be swapping those for Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tyres for a the road biased riding I'm expecting.
