Hi, I thought I would update my previous post on the Juicy Sports Torque E bike that I bought in July. Now having ridden 500 miles it is really pleasing to report that the Juicy Sports has exceeded all expectations. I did change the original Kenda tyres and fitted the bike with Schwalbe Marathons. This proved to be beneficial and improved the bikes rolling, in fact seemed to make the bike 2 to 3 mph faster down the same hills when compared to the Kenya tyres. The Aikema hub that is fitted to the bike (the same hub motor now fitted on the Juicy Roller bike) has been delivering a really great performance, it really gives power instantly and is almost silent when operating at its maximum. This is coupled to Juicy's torque sensor and without attempting to be at all technical, as a rider I can fly up up the many hills that surround my home. Equally a few weeks ago, I took the bike down South when visiting my son, and we did a day's riding around along the Thames banks around Chiswick and Walton areas. What a brilliant day, we covered almost 50 miles in this beautifully flat area, the 14ah battery had plenty of charge left in it at the end of the ride as the Juicy bike was easy to ride in top gear on level 1 assist when following my son on his very fancy Road Bike at around 17mph!, it certainly drove home why us on the forum choose to ride E Bikes. 500 miles on in a few weeks since acquiring the Juicy Sports it's great to report that the bike has and is delivering a truly fantastic performance. Thank you Juicy.
Footnote. Old age is creeping up, and I need to bite the bullet and get a step through E bike as I am struggling to get my leg over the crossbar, so if any one is interested in getting a great bike at a bargain price please get in touch. Until then I will keep looking for high road kerbs or see if the NHS will fix the hip.
