I am flabbergasted Col that you are still pursuing this agenda vocally on the forum using the KTM official avatar / username. Have you had KTM/ permission to provide your personal opinions in their name of forums? It becomes a fine line to do so in the capacity of an employee. Forums in particular are hostile places for differing opinions so I do wonder whether it is in KTMs interest for you to be spewing this tirade consistently. It comes across now as venomous and petty. IF you do have concerns about illegality of ebikes and donglese etc then post informative information on one thread perhaps (without please having the sneaky attacks on un-named companies) or add such information clearly on KTM UK website / Facebook. Do it properly - consult with KTMs marketing people and I doubt very much they woukd be wanting you to be going hostile so often on public forum? Google ktm pedelec uk and you will come across heaps of threads, unconstructive and controversial ones, whereby KTM (you) come across very negatively to say the least. Not at all a good marketing strategy.
you stated about the 'illegal' bike KTM make and are taking to the show:
To promote the fact we make them, but chose not to sell them because at the moment too many customer are choosing to use this kind of bike illegally on the roads.
balloney. That bike is going there to a. Promote this category bike and dip your toes in the water and b. To attempt some negative marketing of your competition ironically by showing off what KTM would love to sell in UK.
how much pressure is KTM hq putting on you to sell these in UK and would you ever sell them as law stands Col? what if KTM tell you to sell them in UK? Have they? That would put you in a very awkward spot. Hence the comment about personal opinions on a forum.
Why not just ask Martin via pm / email how they got authority etc to use bikes on the route?
Still, a marketing campaign by e-bikeshop that supported a good cause is usually more effective than a negative slating of it by a competitor, as you have done in KTMs guise.
So.. Well done e-bikeshop, Martin and Mat. I will be contributing once I wake up properly. suffering from Norovirus!!! In meantime could you provide the links for payment?
Oh.. And I will aim to do a review for you of my new Haibike Trekking 2015 also. It is beautiful and so much fun to ride!
